CAMPAIGN

Toby asked us to create a campaign which educated customers on how to use the Mutu app. Mutu allows users to buy and rent effectively anything whilst ensuring their gear is covered by Mutu’s insurance cover. Mutu is the 21st century conduit that allows Kiwis to channel their community spirit through the art of sharing/renting.

The challenge that we were tasked with by Mutu was to create a campaign which educated customers on how to use the Mutu app.

Mutu wanted to let potential users know that Mutu is a great way to monetise stuff you have at home and hardly use - this was particularly hard given that Facebook had flagged Mutu’s previous content as a ‘get rich quick’ scheme.

To do this, we produced a video that showed a scenario on why someone would use Mutu and how to use it. The video needed to be casual in nature and also informative enough to show potential customers that Mutu is an app that is easily used by them.

The hero creative was also written in a way that allowed us to create 15 second cut downs to be used for ad placements on Instagram Stories and Facebook ‘In-stream’ Videos.
